Keep Calm, It is Monday
Recently, some friendship problem has hit me quite badly and I am struggling to come terms with it. I cant believe that at this stage in my life, I have to deal with this. But as the saying goes...
"When someone leaves you, let them go and know that it doesnt mean it's just a bad thing. It just means that their part in the story of you life is over. Your story goes on.."
I will be alright. I will come to terms with it. Even if 10 years was a long time, it is all part of God's will. (:

On a lighter note, I am here to share some of my posts from the Crate Paper's blog. First up, I did a Crate DIY post on how I made these lovely bottles below. Be sure to check the post HERE
Up next, the August Creative Weekly Challenge is finally out. Be sure to check this link for details. This month is truly an inspiring challenge and I was so glad that I pushed myself creatively...

With the appeal of Navy Blue on the rise
and the lush sparkle of flashy sequins, a duo of the two is unstoppable.
We're dedicating the week to them and put the design team to the task
of showing off some creative ingenuity using the snazzy pair. Crate

A short description for this month's challenge..
"Since this month's CW is all about
trends, what's more suiting than creating a layout combining navy blue
and sequins with another hot trend in the market; triangles! There have
been a growing number of these trendy layouts recently and I, myself was
truly inspired to join in on the trend wagon!
First, I die cut the triangles from navy
blue patterned paper and vellum. I filled the vellum triangles with an
assortment of sequins and sealed them tight. Next, I arranged these
triangles across the page until I was satisfied. To make these triangles
stand-up a little more, I stitched the vellum pockets and added sequins
to the bolder navy blue triangles.
I once read that triangles symbolized
growth. This sums up my niece, the girl in my photos; fearless,
free-willed and full of life! Playing at the playground happens to be
her forte, too. It's truly a joy seeing her grow into the child that she
is."
Be sure to check out and participate along. I cant wait to see what everyone comes up with.
Keep Calm, we survive Monday!

Its Saturday!
Work is never-ending and even though I have to be in school soon, I am going to put on a smile and look forward to spending good quality time with my loved ones in the afternoon. So I hope wherever you are right now, that you take time to rejuventate and relax for the weekends.
Sharing one layout before I go...
I managed to find time this week to scrap a bit since there was a last minute change in the assignments I had to complete. After work, I spent quite a number of hours writing and completing layouts after layouts. This one was done last Saturday. I am really trying to use a lot of my papers and products before the next CHA shipment comes in. No holding back, just using...
Have a great Saturday!

One for Sunday
How's everyone? I hope everyone is having a great weekend, to say the least. August has finally arrived and I am looking forward to it. July was crazy and lets hope August would be tat' better. It has been a great week so far. I finally had a chance to go shopping on Friday and it has been like what? 2 months since I last shopped. To cut the story short, I went on a major shopping spree and spent to my heart's content. It felt good! Haha.
Then I had some time to sit at my scrap table on Saturday and completed my assignments for August and September. Cant wait to show them to you one by one...How about one layout that I forgot to share with you yet?
Here is a short write up of what I did for this layout...
"I wanted to fill the background of my page with heart elements. I did a mixture of both stitching as well as adhering heart die cuts across the page. The embellishments were intentionally chosen to match this color scheme I had in mind – pink, yellow, white and brown. Sometimes, I feel no need in journaling and in a lot of instances, I use phrase stickers instead to express my thoughts about the photo, like what you can see in this page. Song titles tend to be where I draw inspiration from. This song, by Boys like Girls ft Taylor Swift had been on my mind for the longest time and as cheesy as the title might sound, it was really appropriate for this page, symbolizing that it is a joy to have two nieces instead of one. "
Have a lovely Sunday ahead.
