Hello!

Back after almost 3 whole weeks of not blogging! I hope everyone is fine. I need to force myself to update this blog regulary. The scrap mojo has been so on and off and it amazes me how i can still buy stuff from the store but be too lazy to scrap. I am pretty much a hoarder now! Haha. The long weekend came in handy and i realised why the laziness crept in. My scrapbook area is so messy that i cant even remember what i have. Hence, i did a major declutter session from yesterday till today and GOT RID of a lot of stuff.

I do have a free giveaway to anyone who is willing to accept it. Free postage included. I have a total of 35 12x12 papers to give away. It consists of papers from teresa colins, lily bee, pink paislee's daily junque, american craft's city park, sassafras papers etc and i will also throw in the latest tim holtz' kraft resist paper pack. I used around 12 pieces of the kraft papers so there is still a good whole 12 papers left. (:

Do leave a comment if you would like to have it. It will be open till the end of August and i will draw a winner.

I did manage to scrap a layout this week but i have been so backwards in terms of updates so lets start with a LO i did for the MWL National Day challenge.

Used the Echo Parks' Victoria Garden papers and they are simply irresitable. Love the summer colours. Decided to use my Prima's mask on a white cardstock as the background and used the papers and prima flowers as embellishments.

Back on a roll?
Happy National Day! Two more days to the weekend. (:

Your layout at MWL drive me here.

Thanks for all the lovely ideas. I am really new to scrapbooking and these layouts and creativity of yours had inspired me to go further.

Bought my first album at Scrapalicious on 9th August 2011 and it's where I started scrapbooking.

As a beginner, it was also a start of nightmare to me. From flowers, stamps, stickers, rub-on to chipboards, papers.. There is still a big question mark in my head: Which of these are a must buy? Which of these are a waste of money?

Having really limited resources, I hope to win your giveaway. Cheers!

Hello, thanks for the kind words. When i first started, i was equally as clueless as you were. There was no one to really guide me through the process thus everything was just based on discovering as i went along. I would suggest to start off with an album kit first. The album kit gives you generic layouts to follow and that is where you can improvise and discover your style.

You will learn more techniques as you scrap more. I hope my advise helps. Good luck with the giveaway. (:

Hi nette, I recently jus started to use Prima masks as backgrounds. I bought a whole pack of them and rub them over with a bottle of Ranger dappers. My current favourite technique! I stopped buying patterned papers since then and invested in many white papers. hahaha... I love your Nat Day layout btw. Wat kind of ink do u use for ur background?

Juju: that sounds like a good technique. i would try it out. I have way too many dabbers but i hardly use them at all.

For the background: I used a mixture of Tattered Angel's Glimmer mist. I think it was Dragonfly, Jazz Blue and Tiger lily. (:
