I started with black cardstock paper and
used a background stamp and white pigment ink to stamp random images
throughout. Before the white ink dried, I used my fingers to smudge
certain parts of the stamped images. This created areas that were more
pronounced than others and left behind a smudgy chalk effect. To match
my darker background color, I knew I would use bolder, brighter
embellishments from the Flea Market collection. I opted for a black and
white photo, a perfect complement as it helps make the scrapbook process
easier with less conflicting colors to deal with.
If you are wondering, the background stamp is from Basic Grey. It is by far my most favourite background stamp. I especially love the look of this stamp when it is embossed in white.
